I recently returned from the longest work trip I've had - almost 4 weeks in Qatar, working on programmes for Executive Development at Cranfield School of Management. Client confidentiality means I cannot mention any specifics about the work, but I wanted to share some reflections....

- As someone who has worked independently for more than 21 years, it was a joy to spend a significant amount of time with colleagues, and really to feel part of a team. Together we worked hard, and had some great laughs (most of which I DEFINITELY cannot describe on here 🤣!).

- We delivered the 3rd and final module of a 6-month leadership programme, and it was a delight to see the progress the participants had made not only in their learning, but more importantly in the application, and the difference that this had made.

- Continuing to develop my role playing skills, and getting really good feedback (on one of our programmes we even had a stage to perform on - a first for me!).

- Producing mind maps for all the programmes, which were consistently well-received as a summary of the learning - and I even had some requests for photos with the artist!

- Having some down time to enjoy new experiences in Qatar - watching the sun rise in the desert being a real highlight.

- A source of particular pride, and another first for me... incorporating one of my own models in a programme (the 4Es approach to adaptive leadership), and knowing that this was also being delivered by other members of the team, and the client loved 😍.

Huge thanks to David Deegan, Andrew Norris, Louise Gardener, Matt Evans, Neil Thomson & Christopher Samsa for the experience, and to everyone we worked with.
