I had a great week last week, facilitating the second module for Cohort 4 of the HE Connect programme for Harsco Environmental, in partnership with Roffey Park Institute.
Working with Andrew Needham, we challenged the group to really push their thinking about their leadership practice, and how they might adapt their approach to lead their teams in a complex, diverse and dynamic context. At the start of the week we 'warned' the group that we would be raising the bar in terms of challenge - and by Friday I think they understood! However, they were also very appreciative of the opportunity, and it was inspiring to see how together they stepped up to the challenges, and demonstrated significant and deep learning, individually and collectively.
As ever Claire Young provided the social glue for the programme, including arranging a super-hero themed bbq, which was a great success, despite my attempts at jinxing the weather!
On the final day the group collaborated to produce a superb, interactive and impactful presentation to members of the SLT, including Karen Renwick, who continues to provide great support the participants and the programme.
Looking forward to meeting Cohort 5 on the launch call next week, and then in person in September.
