I'm not a particularly political animal, so I am a little nervous about this post, which is intended to focus on the subject of leadership, but within the context of the current turbulence at Westminster.

The events of the past week or so, and most especially have got me thinking about some of my beliefs about leadership, and some of the reading I've done over the years. I often refer to some of Kouzes and Posner's research about what people look for in their leaders. Conducting their research over many years, with tens of thousands of people, HONESTY was the consistent number 1 characteristic that people want.
